2 Months

I can't belive another month has gone by! At the beginning of the month you started to smile and laugh at us for real...not just when you are pooping...and that is how we are greeted every morning, like you are just so happy to see us. You are getting bigger by the day, too. At your one month checkup you weighed 9lbs 6oz and were 24 inches long. We will find out how much you have grown next week at your next doctors visit, but for now you are still smaller than the cats! We have gone on a few road trips...twice to see Grandma and Grandpa Cook in Chatham and once to see Grammy and Nonno in Windsor. You love the car and are so good for us, which is a relief since we have The Big Trip coming in a few days. Everywhere we go you just take it all in, you are just so curious! Ethan, you are such a delight and I am thankful for every single day (even the ones where I can't see straight because I am just so tired!)

The Summer Place

We made it out for Ethan's inagural trip to the Summer Place, Grandma and Grandpa Cooks home for the summer time.

When I was pregnant and Darin and I were discussing how we thought we would be as parents I told him I just knew he would be a great dad...his response...I know, I had the best example.

1 Month

Oh, Ethan, what an amazing month this has been. You fit so seemlessly into our lives, it is really quite incredable. I feel (somewhat) like I am getting a hang of this motherhood thing and every day my confidence grows a little bit more. It is really the best feeling when nothing will calm you except being in the arms of your momma (daddy is trying his best not to take that personally) You are changing every day and daddy and I are constantly amazed. You like nothing more than to be held and we are more than happy to oblige (though we will have to break that habit eventually before we have a 1 year old who won't sleep in his bed!)

We have been sticking pretty close to home this past month, lettting you get used to your surroundings and letting us get used to your routine (ha!) but I think we are going to be venturing out a bit more soon and let you see a bit more of your world.

Best seat in the house

Just 2 days old. Daddy got upset that I took this picture thinking I was torturing and leaving you all alone. Really, I was just a foot away and no harm done. Oh so stinkin' cute!
